Purpose & History

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Bridgeport had been a Roman Catholic Church for ninety years. Established in 1924 and closed in 2014. The parish was blessed by parishioners who possessed many individual gifts, walking on a journey to God. The entire congregation was an outstanding example of a true Christian community and a fine worship site. On June 1, 2014 we received the devastating news that our wonderful church would close and on July 1, 2014 would merge with Sacred Heart Parish in Swedesburg. In an effort to continue our love and devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and of one another the decision was made and we decided to start a Social Club. 

The club would invite and welcome all members of OLMC, Bridgeport and friends of OLMC to participate. With warmth and prayers we welcome all who would like to be a part of this venture.
